If you’re a plant and garden enthusiast who lives in the Metro Denver area and hasn’t heard of The Colorado Native Plant Society, then listen up! The CONPS is open to anyone and everyone in the state of Colorado who has any interest in Flora. Whether you’re a professional or amateur, an experienced botanist or a beginner, you’re welcome to join. CONPS’ main objective is to encourage the appreciation and conservation of Colorado native plants and their habitats by working with the United States government, the state of Colorado, organizations with similar goals and its seven regional chapters. The group also plans community botany education and awareness activities as well as as well as annual meetings throughout the Colorado area in hopes of preserving Colorado’s botanical heritage.
